Quantum Electrical Engineer/ Researcher
Description of responsibilities / main tasks:
• Leading the development of a quantum photonic device measurement setup and its protocol manipulation at the forefront enabling quantum technology.
• Setup & design of advanced optical setups such as : confocal microscopy system, Femto lasers, optical cryo-systems, measurements and photodynamic protocol development, including multiple lasers, sensors, photon detectors, magnetic & MW/RF, and various EE components orchestration (i.e. development of electro-optic systems, building optical experiments and implementing computer-based experimental control).
• Design, simulate, and measure quantum-optic, MW/RF/DC PCB circuits and fully assembles systems.
• Use simulation tools to meet performance requirements and optimize system design parameters.
• Close cooperation with leading industrial foundries & academic research groups.
Requirements:
• Ph.D. / Msc. in Electrical Eng./ Electro-optics / Material Eng./Physics. (Postdoc and/or industrial experience – an advantage)
• Extensive experience/knowledge in quantum optics; quantum information, solid-state spin physics, electromagnetic field (MW/RF/DC) engineering and nano-structuring or semiconductor nanophotonics.
• >3 years of practical experience in research and development of electro-optic systems, fiber packaging, building optical experiments, integrating numerous peripherals (laser/detectors/motors/RF/MW etc..) and implementing all peripherals in computer-based experimental control.
• >3 years of hands-on experience in the development of MW/RF/PCB devices: design, simulations, fabrication, assembly, integration, testing and debug
• Coding: Python (must) , MATLAB (must).
• Photonic & EE Simulation SW Experience: Rsoft / Comsol, ANSYS HFSS, Lumerical – advantage
• Background in control systems– advantage
